It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have long been mastered.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the record chasers, are the only things left for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batsmen to hold a record if not afforded the opportunity.

In recent days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this victory following success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.
